June marked the sixth consecutive month with below-normal precipitation, statewide, across Utah, resulting in the driest January-June on record. According to the USDA, 54% of Utah's pasture and range land was rated in the poor to very poor category by early July. Based on July 2 USGS observations as summarized by the National Weather Service, 20% of 59 streamflow sites in the state set new all-time record lows for streamflow.
