This page contains information for NOAA offices which may wish to apply for funding under the CDMP for either new or continuing projects. NCDC's CDMP evaluates all proposals on an annual basis and will decide which to fund, including extending the funding of current tasks.
Thanks to all who attended the sixth annual CDMP Data Access Workshop, November 14-15, 2006, at NOAA's Coastal Services Center in Charleston, South Carolina. More than fifty proposals from 20 NOAA line offices were submitted. Powerpoint presentations of submitted proposals are available. *** Due to limited funding in FY07, CDMP was unable to fund new proposals that were received at the meeting in Charleston. If CDMP is funded at or above FY06 levels, then the proposals received in November 2006 will be accepted and work will begin to rescue and archive these data when the FY08 funds for CDMP become available. CDMP will not hold a workshop in the fall of 2007 due to the backlog of prior proposals. CDMP plans on issuing a new call for proposals in August 2008 with a data access workshop following in November 2008. If you have any questions, please contact Tom Ross, the CDMP Program Manager, at Tom.Ross@noaa.gov. Prior Proposal Process GuidelinesIf you have a project which might qualify for CDMP funding, please see this guideline PDF booklet, paying particular attention to those deadlines and requirements that may apply to you. Continuing ProjectsIf your proposal is a continuing one without many changes or additional tasks, then you can submit a continuation proposal. Continuing Projects with Modifications If you proposal is continuing but contains new projects then a modified task order will be needed to accommodate the new projects listed in the proposal. New Projects If your proposal is new, then a proposal and task order should be submitted as one final document. Proposals will be judged against the following criteria:
