Annual Report

NOAA's CDMP 2010 annual report gives insight into a few of the 97 projects supported by the program during the calendar year. CDMP tasks originate in the educational and research communities, both domestic and worldwide, and span from the tropics to the poles.

The printed portion of this year's report highlights CDMP's continued support of every NOAA line office through preserving and enhancing the availability of valuable climate and environmental data. This year's report also reflects on the use of CDMP data in dealing with climate and environmental issues in our global society.

The video portion of the report features NOAA Task Manager, Jill Peterson; Senior Scientist at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center, Alec MacCall; and Program Coordinator at the North American Bird Phenology Program, Jessica Zelt. Jill explains how CDMP provides critical scientific data in the case of oil spills. Alec discusses how CDMP data are helping manage commercial limits in the fishing industry. And Jessica demonstrates how CDMP data is used to track birds' biological response to climate patterns and change.
