Large Scale Temperature and Precipitation
Reconstructions from Tree-Rings

Temperature and precipitation have been reconstructed using tree-ring data by Dr. H.C. Fritts for the years 1602-1963. Different collections of sites were used to construct the temperature and precipitation values. Select year(s) to plot using the pulldown menus. Expand the number of maps by changing the row and column settings. Click 'Update Spreadsheet' when you are ready to plot new settings.

Data Set Description Temperature: The Purple/Blue end of the spectrum is used to indicate cold anomalies. Red/Brown is used for warm ones.
Help using this page Precipitation: The Purble/Blue end of the spectrum is used to indicate wet anomalies. Red/Brown is used for dry ones.
