agu CDR Developer Named 2011 AGU Fellow

The American Geophysical Union recently conferred Fellow status to Dr. Frank J. Wentz III of Remote Sensing Systems. Frank was honored "For his pioneering and sustained innovative contributions to microwave remote sensing of the ocean and atmosphere and for his definitive contributions to research on climate change and air-sea interaction." Frank developed the CDR Program's SSM/I Fundamental Climate Data Record, which was transitioned to initial operations in 2011. Congratulations Frank!
